Nintendo of America has confirmed that physical copies of Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives will not be increasing in price in the US. This is due to different costs associated with producing and distributing each format. The change means that when Nintendo sells digital versions of Nintendo published games exclusive to the Switch 2 to consumers in the U.S., they will have an MSRP that is lower than their physical counterparts. However, retail partners can set their own prices for physical and digital games, which may result in a decrease in retail sales.
