USA-Venezuela WBC final hit historic ratings mark with 128 percent jump from 2023

The World Baseball Classic (WBC) final between Team USA and Venezuela saw a 128 percent increase in ratings from 2023. The final was watched by 10,784,000 viewers across Fox and Fox Deportes, making it the most-watched game in the tournament's history. The success has led to speculation about moving the tournament to the middle of the MLB season. Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred also mentioned the WBC's potential role in helping to grow the game internationally. He is optimistic about baseball participating in the 2028 Olympics, which could impact the timing of the next WBC.
