The only time in NHL history the same two teams have met in three consecutive Stanley Cup Finals was Montreal and Detroit from 1954-56. However, both teams may miss the playoffs due to injuries to key players such as Leon Draisaitl and Sam Reinhart. This comes as Florida is struggling this season, struggling to recover from injuries and is second-to-last in the East, 13 points out of the final wild-card spot with 15 games left. The Panthers' loss to Vancouver 5-2 on their current four-game road trip indicates they are thinking about golf games come mid-April. Meanwhile, Sergei Bobrovsky became the 18th NHL history to reach 800 career games, one win away from tying Curtis Joseph for seventh on the all-time wins list. Despite this, Edmonton's star forward Draisautl is expected to miss the rest of the regular season due to a lower-body injury.
