State Parks announce closures due to incoming severe weather

The Hawai’i State Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) has announced closures of multiple state parks and trails due to severe weather conditions. The Hawaii News Now First Alert Weather Team has declared Tuesday through Saturday as First Alert Days as the storm impacts the islands. The closures include Polihale State Park, Kalalau Trail, Kōkeʻe State Park and Kāʼe Point, Mokulēʻia Section. All state park camping permits have been suspended until further notice.
