Kanagawa Prefectural Police has apologized to the family of a 22-year-old woman allegedly killed by 31 year old defendant Jun Saito, during the trial of Saitama Prefecture. The initial investigation was initially deemed a suicide, but after reviewing the circumstances, it became clear that the police had misperformed their initial assessment. Following further information from the Sactama Prefectional Police, the First Investigation Division began an investigation into the case, which has now been completed.
