Norfolk State lands major men’s basketball commitment

Norfolk State has secured a commitment from 6-foot-3 guard Jordan Skyers from Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut, making him the highest-rated men’s basketball recruit in NSU history. The transfer portal will only open until the NCAA Tournament concludes, but players around the state and nation are revealing their intentions.VCU guard Nyk Lewis is reportedly returning to the Rams, along with fellow post player Obi Okafor. Christopher Newport freshman left-hander Ryan Morrison was named the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the third consecutive time. Meanwhile, Old Dominion's Barbara Car finished second at the 54th annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Georgia.
