Cody Logan Fohrenkam, a 33-year-old man from Minneapolis, has been sentenced to more than 28 years in prison for the random killing of Minneapolis North High School athlete Deshaun Hill Jr. The victim was shot in the head after Fohernkam was searching for a man who stole his cellphone at knifepoint at a corner store. With credit for time already spent in jail, Fohennepin County District Court expects him to serve the first 17 years of his sentence in prison and the balance on supervised release. The killing of Hill, an honor roll student, was depicted in a documentary called "Boys in Blue".
