The late Michael Jackson's estate has accused Paris Jackson and her lawyers of lacking understanding about the motion picture industry and its role as producers. This comes amidst a dispute between Paris and the men running the estate, who are locked in a dispute over the King of Pop's financial legacy. Paris Jackson is accusing co-executor John Branca of not knowing about or knowing the significance of a 1994 inked deal, along with a $20 million settlement, with the family of then underage Jordan Chandler that prohibited depiction of his relationship with Michael Jackson and allegations of sexual abuse. The revelation of the 30-year old agreement led to significant retooling and reshoots for the then completed Michael. A response to Paris’ concerns was filed by the estate’s Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir lawyers. The response states that no payment made by this Estate in its 16-year history has been disallowed.
