The Hanford Police Department received a 911 call from a residence in the 1500 block of University Avenue, where a male and female could be heard arguing inside. When the first officer arrived, he identified himself as a police officer and removed the female from the residence. Shortly afterwards, Vincent Diaz, the ex-husband of the female resident, turned a firearm on himself and died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. During a protective sweep, officers found a second male, Adrian Valdovinos, dead from gunshot wounds inside the home.
