Lawyer Joseph Corozzo Jr., the son of a late Gambino crime family consigliere, has been removed from boxer Goran Gogic's drug trafficking case after a federal judge ruled he couldn't defend him while facing a probe into juror and witness tampering. The FBI learned of an alleged plan to bribe a juror with $100,000 the weekend before Gogogic’s trial, which has since been postponed. Further investigation revealed protected legal documents, including a photo of a witness’s daughter, and instances of witness intimidation. Federal prosecutors have attempted to disqualify Corozz from organized crime cases over the past two decades, but have yet to make a decision on his status in the case of Mark Liverano.
