Taylor Frankie Paul's lawyer, Eric M. Swinyard, has shared her reaction to the mutual protective orders granted between Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, for three years. The ruling was made during a hearing regarding the custody arrangement for Paul and Mortensen's 2-year-old son, Ever. Paul's attorney stated that she felt solidarity with survivors who have endured similar hardships. The court is now requiring that Mortensen stay away from Paul. This ruling comes after multiple domestic violence investigations involving Paul and Morton. Both the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office and the West Jordan Police Department declined to file charges against Paul in April, citing insufficient evidence to prove allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.
