Humble Robotics has developed a fully driverless, cab-less, and truck-less battery-electric freight platform, Humble Hauler, designed to handle containerized cargo more efficiently than ever. The company has designed a lighter, lighter container chassis without a cab, saving shippers the weight of a sleeper cab, a day cab, or the truck. The Humble approach is said to improve payload efficiency of shipping containers and is intended for dock-to-dock operation. The vehicle uses cameras, lidar, and radar for 360-degree awareness and uses vision-language-action models to respond to new scenarios. Humble Robotics founder and CEO, Eyal Cohen, has received a $24 million funding round and plans to begin autonomous testing in pilot programs with logistics partners.
