Expansion Boston Legacy wins franchise's first game; Portland rolls

The Boston Legacy FC defeated the Denver Summit 3-2 in the National Women's Soccer League (NWS), marking the expansion club's first regular-season win. The Chicago Stars lost 2-0 to Portland Thorns FC. In Portland's win, Olivia Moultrie became the youngest player in NWSL history to make 100 NWSL appearances. The league will continue expanding in the coming seasons, with franchises in Atlanta and Columbus set to begin in 2028.
