The National Retail Federation's annual Mother's Day survey reveals that 63% of respondents plan a special outing for their mothers, with a meal out being the third most popular way of celebrating the holiday. The survey also revealed that Americans are expected to spend approximately $6.4 billion on special outings and meals, surpassing only the $7.5 billion expected expenditure on jewelry.
