The NBA board of governors has unanimously approved the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers to Dallas billionaire Tom Dundon and a group of investors. This marks the first time in nearly 40 years that the team will not be owned by a member of the Allen family. Dundon, who also owns the Carolina Hurricanes, a professional pickleball league, a premier golf course in Dallas and a chunk of Topgolf Callaway, submitted a winning $4.25 billion bid to the Paul G. Allen Estate. The sale will take place in two parts, with the first portion of the sale set to close on Tuesday at a valuation of $4 billion.
