Director Taekyung Tanja Inwol's second feature documentary, Homesick (Hjemsøgt), explores her experiences as an Adoptee from South Korea and the struggles behind the facade of her Danish family. The film travels between Western Denmark and South Korea, exploring her adoption case among only 56 cases in which the Korean Truth and Reconciliation Commission found violations of human rights. Despite these findings, Inwoll has not been able to access information about her birth parents or action from either the Korean or Danish state. The documentary weaves together personal memories and imagination with the political realities of a transnational adoption system that has lost its shine. The producers are Rikke Tambo Andersen, Sona Jo and Virpi Suutari, with editing handled by Matilda Henningsson.
