Pope is tasked with replenishing the Kentucky team by tapping into the college basketball transfer portal, which he has previously landed Otega Oweh and Denzel Aberdeen from the portal each year. The seniors, who were UK's top two scorers in 2025-26, are now theoretically out of eligibility. Despite this, only one recruit has committed to Kentucky, Mason Williams, son of former NBA All-Star Mo Williams.
