Vicky Jewson's action thriller "Pretty Lethal" premiered at SXSW and is now streaming on Prime. The film follows five elite ballerinas, who are unable to stand each other and find each other at a roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman). The cast underwent a month of boot camp in Budapest and Jewson embedded with the Royal Ballet Company in London to study their training and research their physical skills. The movie's signature fighting style, which Jewson and the cast call “ballet-fu”, is a combination of ballet and kung fu. The cast spent close to a month in training before production began in Budapest, working with both stunt coordinators and ballet choreographers simultaneously.
