A majority of California voters fear that the proposed billionaire tax will force businesses to flee the state, as it only has 25% of the signatures it needs to make the ballot. A new poll by UC Berkeley/Politico revealed that 64% of respondents were worried that the 5% wealth tax on billionaires would drive businesses out of the state. Furthermore, 59% were concerned about the loss of future tax revenue as wealthy taxpayers fled. However, half of voters said they would vote for the tax, while 28% said they wouldn't vote no.
