Weber County, Utah, has announced plans to install 10 harm reduction vending machines throughout the county. The machines will offer free life-saving supplies such as naloxone kits, fentanyl test strips, hygiene items, safe sex supplies, and information for treatment and recovery services. Previously, a Narcan vending machine was installed in the lobby of the Weber County Sheriff’s Office. Now, these machines will be located at various locations including the Ogden Police Department, Midtown Community Health Clinic, Lantern House, Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA), and Seager Memorial Clinic. The project aims to reduce overdose deaths and increase vulnerable communities' access to critical resources.
