New research by Tawkify has revealed that 37% of people in long-term relationships believe they're carrying unresolved resentment towards their partner, with nearly 68% having been holding it for over a year. Unaddressed resentment is one of the most severe threats to healthy relationships and can lead to passive-aggressive behavior and unfulfilled feelings. The research also revealed that 84% of those whose relationships ended said that unresolved or unspoken issues play a role in resentment. The main reason for resentment builds up due to unresolved issues over time, such as misaligned values or unmet needs. Despite these subtle signs of resentment, it's not too late to address these issues.
