Rotherham United has reported a pre-tax loss of £4.65m for the 2024-25 season, following being relegated from the Championship in April 2024. The club sold several players, including goalkeeper Viktor Johansson and midfielder Oliver Rathbone, to generate revenue. However, this season has seen further difficulties, with Rotherham currently sitting 22nd and six points behind the current standings.
