Apple has confirmed that Jay Blahnik, the vice president of Fitness Technologies, will retire in July after a 13-year tenure at Apple. Despite being credited for developing the Apple Watch and Apple Fitness+, Blahnick also oversaw the development of the subscription service. In August, The New York Times reported that he created a toxic work environment, leading to multiple instances of inappropriate behavior involving multiple employees. An internal investigation reportedly found no evidence of wrongdoing. It is unclear whether Apple will replace him as vice president or distribute his duties among existing executives.
