Push for legal cannabis returns to Tennessee legislature with home-grow proposal

The Tennessee General Assembly has introduced Bill SB 2486/ HB 2479, also known as the Freedom to Farm Act, which would establish a registration process for qualified residents at least 21 years old to cultivate, possess and use marijuana. The bill would allow one adult in each household to grow 15 marijuana plants on their property. It has been deferred several times since its introduction in February.
