Raw and chilly rain to develop in NYC

A developing area of low pressure will move through the tri-state region, bringing in a wet and chilly weekend. The timing is not ideal but it will make a significant contribution to the overall rainfall deficit in April, which is running at 4.73% below normal. Rainfall totals could exceed an inch, and temperatures may not reach 50 degrees during the day. The rain will continue throughout the weekend, but temperatures will only remain in the lower 40s.
