The US President's administration is set to launch a refund portal for tariffs that were recently struck down by the Supreme Court. This comes after President Donald Trump began a global tariff war on imports from foreign countries on Apr. 2, 2025, using "reciprocal tariffs" in the range of 10% to 50% on imports. The total crypto market cap fell from $2.74 trillion on Apr 2 to $2.,42 trillion on April 8, following a period of uncertainty following the announcement. The initial refunding phase will be limited to certain unliquidated entries within 80 days of final accounting. Once approved, claimants will receive a refund within 60-days. The process could take up to 120 days.
