Downsides of bill purporting to want to teach ‘Christian’ values in Ohio schools

The Ohio legislature is considering teaching American values identified as Christian in public schools, violating the Establishment Clause of the Constitution. Non-Christian students will likely feel inferior to non-Christians and object of scorn by the favored, Christian students. The Thanksgiving story will likely be covered, but the Salem witch trials, the cross-burning and murders by the Ku Klux Klan are likely to be left out. The author acknowledges that all religions have good to teach, but ignores the good others brought to America.
