Pittsburgh says it's ready for NFL Draft surge

The upcoming NFL Draft will be Pittsburgh's biggest sporting event, with an expected 700,000 fans expected to attend. The event is set to take place on the North Shore and Downtown of the city from 23-25. This gives the city a significant opportunity to showcase itself to a national television audience. Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O'Connor, and PNC Pittsburgh regional head Louis Cestello have stated that everything is in place according to plan. Additionally, improvements to Point State Park have been made, and Arts Landing construction is on schedule. The draft campus area surrounding Acrisure and at Point state Park will see security closures, potentially impacting security.
