Rental prices in New York City have surged sharply in February, with the median rent rising to $5,000 per month, a six percent year-over-year increase. The Corcoran Group report also revealed that there were 3,277 leased properties in Manhattan, an increase of 13 percent from the previous year. The most recent lease was signed on the Upper East Side, with an 11 percent increase from last year.
