Abode has launched two new Apple Home-compatible sensors, the Garage Tilt Sensor and Outdoor Contact Sensor, designed to monitor entry points beyond traditional indoor sensors. The products are compatible with Apple Home, as well as with Alexa and Google Assistant. They use Abode's CUE smart home automation engine to create personalized behaviors such as a garage door that closes itself if it's left open for over 10 minutes. The Garage Til Sensor detects motion by sensing when a surface changes orientation more than 45° from its resting position, making it ideal for up-and-over-style or tilt-style garage doors, attic hatch doors, basement tilt windows, and any hinged panel that swings open at an angle. The Outdoor Contact sensor offers up to 10 years of battery life and connectivity can extend up to 500 feet under optimal conditions. Abode’s new Garage Tilts Sensor has a suggested retail price of $34.99 and the Outdoor ContactSensor has a recommended retail price for $49.99.
