The front month of April is up by 47 cents, while other contracts are down by 25 to 77 cents. The CME Lean Hog Index was up 24 cents on April 7 at $90.30. Export Sales data showed 31,347 MT of pork sold in the week of 4/2, a 4-week low. The USDA estimated that Thursday's hog slaughter was at 495,000 head, which is 117,000 fewer than the previous week.
