Michigan basketball players have been given hilarious and outrageous nicknames by teammates, coaches, and the internet. Star big man Robbie Avila, known for his infectious style play and his "rec specs," has been dubbed "Dominican LeBron" and "College Jokic." The Wolverines also have a long list of nicknames for their teammates, most of which are shortened versions of their names. However, there are also several others that have been revealed. Harrison Hochberg, Charlie May, and Will Tschetter came up with a good nickname for their roommate, Oscar Goodman, named "Big Red." Coach Dusty May's favorite nickname for Aday Mara is based on "Reno 911!" and Lt. Jim Dangle.
