New Mexico's Chief Justice, Julie Vargas, has launched a free court helpline for self-represented residents to assist in navigating the state court system. The New Mexico Courts HelpLine connects callers directly with trained court experts who provide guidance on court case procedures and legal aid services across the state. The helplines, which are free and open to all residents, can help people make informed decisions about court procedures. The staff is fully bilingual in Spanish and interpreters are available six days a week. If you require formal legal representation, they will also connect you with low- and no-cost legal aid organizations or upcoming free legal fairs.
