South African supermarket retailer, Shoprite Holdings, has reported a 7.7% increase in its second-half profit of the year, largely due to strong festive season demand. The retailer's headline earnings per share rose to 710.5 cents for the six months ending on December 28, 2025, from a previously revised 659.8 cents.
