New venture firm, Operator Circle, has been backed by dozens of senior executives from European tech scaleups, including Enzo Wälchli, the former COO at Swiss robotics scaleup ANYbotics. The fund argues that operators who have scaled billion-dollar companies are better positioned than career VCs to identify founders who have the tools to build at decacorn scale. The launch is a bet that this generation is now large enough to matter. The exact fund size was not disclosed.
