The Nevada Real Estate Division is considering improvements to the state's current alternative dispute resolution framework for homeowners associations. A task force could submit proposed changes to the Nevada Legislature as early as 2027. Currently, state law requires homeowners to undergo a mandatory dispute resolution process before they can file a lawsuit against an HOA. The default path is mediation, which is non-binding and does not determine the outcome.
