The Alaska Folk Festival is set to begin on Monday, April 6, with a week of music, guest artists, and workshops. The festival will also host a documentary called "50 Years of Folk Fest". The Marie Darlin Prize is awarded to an outstanding Juneau artist or performer whose work reflects a commitment to the region's social or cultural history, community advocacy, or Indigenous identity. Additionally, Project Homeless Connect will offer services for the homeless, with over 30 community service agencies participating.
