The American Motel, once hosted by Elvis, is being demolished by American Demolition. The property is owned by Terrapin Investments, which paid $9 million for it in January 2023. The hotel had a reputation for being a magnet for criminal activity and was closed in July. The owner plans to sell the property to Texas-based Trinsic Residential Group after the demolition.
