A strong cold front is set to arrive in Nebraska this week, bringing windy conditions, chilly temperatures, and potentially two rounds of rain. The first round of wet weather is expected to arrive early in the morning of Tuesday, with gusty winds and temperatures expected to feel much colder than the actual temperature. The second round of rain will move in on Wednesday, becoming more widespread by afternoon and moving out of the state. Despite this, temperatures will remain below average for most of Nebraska, with highs in the 40s, 50s, and 60s statewide. The potential for some light snow mixed in with the rain, but the ground is still warm enough to prevent any problems. This moisture will help spring green up and potentially alleviate drought concerns and fire conditions.
