Lancaster County Election Commission begins mailing early vote ballots for Nebraska primary
Published on April 6, 2026.
The Lancaster County election commissioner’s office has begun sending early ballots for the Nebraska primary. Every voter who submitted a valid early vote-by-mail ballot request through Friday should receive their ballot by the end of this week. The commission processed more than 32,000 requests and has been unable to process 340 requests. Most of these voters either forgot to sign the request or to complete the voter identification portion of the request. The state allows any registered voter to cast an early ballot, but voters must request this in writing. Early in-person voting will begin on April 13.
