New A24 horror Backrooms unveils creepy commercial, and you can ring the number for levelled-up scares

A24 has released a creepy new teaser for its upcoming horror movie, Backrooms. The ad features Chiwetel Ejiofor dressed as a pirate to promote a store called Cap'n Clark's Ottoman Empire. If you ring the number, it appears that the receiver is based in California. The film, based on Kane Parsons' viral YouTube series, is set to release on May 29, 2026.
