Belmont bank robbery suspect arrested, police confirm

Police have arrested Rodney Samuel, charged with common law robbery and communicating threats for allegedly stealing money from the State Employees’ Credit Union in Belmont, North Carolina. The robbery occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30. The suspect is believed to have walked into the bank and demanded money before leaving in a gray or silver Nissan sedan.
