Valuable data from the Steam Deck is being provided for developers for games that are Steam Deck Verified, allowing them to view average frame rate data collected by users who have opted in. The data will also be applied to Steam Deck Playable games, which are bootable but with user adjustments needed. The system is designed to help developers understand the experiences of customers who disagree with the Verified rating for certain titles. The average frame rates for hundreds or thousands of players on nearly identical hardware could be hugely beneficial, with potential applications for more detailed data. The tool is also being developed for the Steam Machine, which is expected to launch later this year.
