'80s sci-fi cult classic 'The Last Starfighter' finally scores a sequel, but it's a comic book! (exclusive)

The 1984 sci-fi cult classic "The Last Starfighter" is being adapted into a comic book by Mad Cave Studios, written by Benjamin Raab and Deric A. Hughes. The series returns to the world of Alex Rogan and the Star League, a continuation of the outer space fantasy that has remained an endearing part of pop culture for any serious science fiction fan. The comic will be released in 2026. There have been rumors about a theatrical sequel for years, but nothing has been announced.
