Christian parents Daniel and Bianca Samson have been trying to regain custody of their two eldest daughters from the Swedish government since December 2022, following a false report made by their eldest daughter, Sara Samson. The case was deemed "inadmissible" by the European Court of Human Rights and cannot be appealed. Despite no evidence of abuse, the state has accused the family of religious extremism, citing their regular attendance at church three times a week as evidence. Both girls have reportedly attempted suicide since being separated from their parents.
