Cotton futures saw significant gains across most contracts on Monday, with the US dollar index at $97.845 and crude oil at $3.95. The NASC Crop Progress showed that 11% of the US cotton crop had been planted, 1 percentage point ahead of the 5-year average of 10%. The Seam also showed that 1,783 bales sold on 4/17 at an average of 74.86 cents/lb.
