“The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” has remained at the top of the box office, earning another $17.5 million on its second Friday in theaters. The sequel to the original film, "Project Hail Mary," is on track for a three-day total of between $69 and $70 million, which could make it the first 2026 release to pass the $300 million mark domestically. "Me, You & Tuscany," featuring Regé-Jean Page and Halle Bailey, came in third with a $3.16 million take. The film has already surpassed "The Wild Robot's" domestic numbers, becoming the second-highest-earning original animation flick post-COVID in North America.
