East Patrol Command-Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) Arrest Wanted Fugitive Following Pursuit to IAH Airport

On April 8, 2026, Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office East Patrol Command-Crime Reduction Unit apprehended a wanted fugitive named as 46-year-old Michael Vandeberghe following a high-speed vehicle pursuit at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. The incident occurred during a fugitive investigation. Vandeburghe was taken into custody without further incident and charged with multiple counts including evading arrest/detention in a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
