Barilla has released a new pasta shape, inspired by racing wheels, in honor of the F1 Grand Prix. The shape is circular and will be sold in select nationwide retailers later this spring. Other notable pasta shapes include Orecchiette (Italian for "little ears"), a traditional pasta that traces its roots to Puglia, Italy. Rummo, Fusillotti is a unique spiral that the company credits with trapping sauces for a satisfying bite, and can be found in stores from brands like Rao’s, Bettergoods, and Whole Foods Market. Other brands like Sfoglini are known for their unique pasta shapes.
