A new documentary, "Steal This Story, Please!" traces the career of independent news journalist Amy Goodman, host of the global news program Democracy Now! and will be shown at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham on April 16. The film, directed by veteran filmmakers Tia Lessin and Carl Deal, traces Goodman's career and focuses on her passion for advocacy journalism. The documentary is set to open in select theaters nationwide on April 10 and will screen at the festival. Democracy Now!, launched in 1996 as a news hour on nine stations and now reaches a network of 1,500 public television and radio stations. It is known for its coverage of grassroots movements like Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street.
